The Cleaning Business Studio honestly came from me trying to figure things out for my own cleaning business.

Pricing especially drove me crazy. I would search online, read through cleaning groups, look at what other people were charging and somehow end up more confused than when I started. One person says charge by the hour, another says square footage, someone else says flat rate, and everybody seems to have a completely different idea of what a cleaning “should” cost.

I even started researching actual cleaning companies in my market and comparing competitor pricing thinking, okay, THIS should give me my answer. Nope. 😂 The prices still varied A LOT. Two companies could quote completely different prices for what looked like basically the same job.

So I started digging deeper. I wanted to understand what was actually happening behind the price instead of just copying a number somebody else charged. How long is this job realistically going to take? What does it cost me to do it? What am I actually keeping? What happens if I hire someone else to clean it? Is this price reasonable for my market? And most importantly... am I actually making money? lol

That rabbit hole eventually turned into the tools I’m building now. And it took a LOT of trial and error to get here. I changed things, tested different ways of pricing, compared them against real jobs, researched industry data and kept finding questions I wanted the tools to answer better. I wasn’t trying to build some fancy “pricing technology.” I was trying to build something I could actually use when a customer asked me for a quote.

That’s really the idea behind The Cleaning Business Studio. I’m building the things I wish I had while figuring out my own business. Tools that make pricing less confusing, websites that can turn your pricing into instant quotes and bookings, and eventually more of the systems that make running a cleaning business easier.

I’m still actively running a cleaning business too, so a lot of what gets built here comes from me running into a problem and thinking, okay... there has GOT to be a better way to do this. 😂
